I'm a mom first. Like a lot of parents, I want my children to grow up confident, generous, and wise, including with money. Most of us learn about money far too late, often through mistakes, and I wanted something better for my kids.
I also happen to be a Chartered Professional Accountant with more than eight years of experience in public-sector, nonprofit, First Nations governance, and private-sector finance. Every day, my work reminds me how much good becomes possible when money is handled with care and integrity.
Those two parts of my life came together in Grace & Joy: Making Wise Choices, a collection of stories that teach children ages 7 to 12 about saving, giving, spending wisely, and investing in themselves, all through the lens of faith and values. It became an Amazon bestseller, and it now takes me into classrooms, camps, libraries, and community events across Manitoba.
My hope is simple: wise choices today that create freedom and generosity tomorrow, for my children and for yours.
